Manage & delete posts

Level: Advanced Time: ~10 min Prerequisites: Lesson 7 Audience: creators
Purpose
Everything you've published or queued lives on the Posts page. This lesson shows you how to find any post fast, edit the ones you still can, and delete cleanly — per channel, whole-post, or in bulk — knowing exactly what each platform allows.

Finding a post

Open Posts. Filter with the tabs — All · Published · Scheduled · Drafts · Partial · Failed — and search by title or content in the search box. (The command palette and Dashboard stat cards deep-link straight into a filter or search, so you often land where you need to be.)

Editing a post

Edit is available for drafts and scheduled posts — the ones that haven't gone out yet. It reopens the post in the composer with everything intact. Editing a scheduled post keeps its scheduled time, so you don't accidentally un-schedule it (Lesson 11). Published posts can't be edited here — you'd edit or delete them on the platform, or delete and repost.

Per-channel actions

Each successfully-published channel on a post offers View, Share, and — where the platform allows — Delete. You saw the capability matrix in Lesson 13; the short version:

Delete from the app?Platforms
YesFacebook, YouTube, Telegram (Telegram: within 48 h, bot must be admin)
No — remove in the platform's own appInstagram, TikTok

Deleting a whole post

Deleting a post from the Posts page removes it from SocialAutoUpload. You also get a choice:

💡 Deleting the app record doesn't unpublish by itself
Removing a post here is not the same as taking it down everywhere. To remove the live posts too, tick "Delete from platforms too" (for the platforms that support it), and handle Instagram/TikTok in their apps.

Bulk delete

The Bulk Delete tool removes many posts at once. Two things to know:

⚠️ Facebook bulk delete can reach posts this app didn't create
For Facebook, Bulk Delete can fetch and delete all posts on your Page — including ones you published elsewhere, not just through SocialAutoUpload. That's powerful for cleanup but easy to over-do: review the list carefully before deleting, because this removes the live Facebook posts.

Expected result

You can locate any post in seconds, edit the ones that are still editable, and delete exactly what you intend — app-only or from the platforms too, one at a time or in bulk.

Common mistakes

Troubleshooting (quick table)

SituationWhat it meansDo this
No Delete option on an IG/TikTok channelTheir APIs don't allow deletionRemove the post in the Instagram/TikTok app

📱 Mobile note: filtering, searching, per-channel actions and whole-post delete all work on mobile; Bulk Delete's list is easier to review on a larger screen.
