Manage & delete posts
Finding a post
Open Posts. Filter with the tabs — All · Published · Scheduled · Drafts · Partial · Failed — and search by title or content in the search box. (The command palette and Dashboard stat cards deep-link straight into a filter or search, so you often land where you need to be.)
Editing a post
Edit is available for drafts and scheduled posts — the ones that haven't gone out yet. It reopens the post in the composer with everything intact. Editing a scheduled post keeps its scheduled time, so you don't accidentally un-schedule it (Lesson 11). Published posts can't be edited here — you'd edit or delete them on the platform, or delete and repost.
Per-channel actions
Each successfully-published channel on a post offers View, Share, and — where the platform allows — Delete. You saw the capability matrix in Lesson 13; the short version:
| Delete from the app? | Platforms |
|---|---|
| Yes | Facebook, YouTube, Telegram (Telegram: within 48 h, bot must be admin) |
| No — remove in the platform's own app | Instagram, TikTok |
Deleting a whole post
Deleting a post from the Posts page removes it from SocialAutoUpload. You also get a choice:
- Delete from the app only — the record leaves SocialAutoUpload; the live posts stay up on each platform.
- "Delete from platforms too" — a checkbox (shown only when at least one channel supports API deletion) that also removes the live posts where possible. Instagram/TikTok posts still need removing in their own apps.
Bulk delete
The Bulk Delete tool removes many posts at once. Two things to know:
- It's a paid-plan feature (Creator and up). On the Free plan the button routes you to the pricing page.
- It covers Facebook and YouTube only — the two platforms whose APIs allow bulk deletion. Instagram, TikTok and Telegram aren't included.
Expected result
You can locate any post in seconds, edit the ones that are still editable, and delete exactly what you intend — app-only or from the platforms too, one at a time or in bulk.
Common mistakes
- Deleting the app record and assuming the live post is gone — tick "Delete from platforms too" (where supported).
- Expecting to delete an Instagram/TikTok post from here — remove those in their apps.
- Trying to edit a published post — only drafts and scheduled posts are editable.
- Using Facebook Bulk Delete without reading the list — it can remove Page posts you made elsewhere.
- Looking for Bulk Delete on Free — it's a Creator-and-up feature.
Troubleshooting (quick table)
| Situation | What it means | Do this |
|---|---|---|
| No Delete option on an IG/TikTok channel | Their APIs don't allow deletion | Remove the post in the Instagram/TikTok app |
| Deleted the post but it's still on Facebook | You deleted the app record only | Delete again with "Delete from platforms too", or remove it on Facebook |
| Bulk Delete sends you to /pricing | It's a paid feature | Upgrade (Lesson 2), or delete posts individually |
| A Telegram delete fails | Past the 48-hour window, or the bot isn't a channel admin | Delete it in Telegram directly |
| Can't find a post | It's under a different status tab | Switch to "All" and search by title/content |
📱 Mobile note: filtering, searching, per-channel actions and whole-post delete all work on mobile; Bulk Delete's list is easier to review on a larger screen.
