SocialAutoUpload User Guide · Volume 10 — Troubleshooting & Known Limitations · Lesson 20
Known limitations
Purpose
One honest page of what the app deliberately doesn't do (yet). Read it once and you'll never be surprised by a missing feature or a platform rule.
The one to never forget
🗑 Published media is not stored
A few minutes after a post fully publishes, the app deletes its media files from our servers. The live posts stay up on each platform, but you can't re-download the file here. Always keep your originals. Uploads you never attach to a post are also cleared after about 2 hours (Lessons 0 & 8).What each platform allows
| Limitation | Detail |
|---|---|
| Instagram: Business/Creator only | Must be linked to a Facebook Page; personal accounts can't connect. |
| Instagram & TikTok: no delete via app | Remove those posts in each platform's own app. |
| Instagram: no text-only posts; video is a Reel | Media required; videos over 90 s are trimmed to 90 s. |
| Instagram Stories: bot only | Publish via the Telegram bot's /story command; the web composer has no Story type. |
| TikTok: video only, consent per post | No photo/text; a one-tap declaration is required each time; the public link can appear a minute or two late. |
| YouTube: video only, title required | Videos ≤ 60 s become Shorts; a title is auto-filled if you leave it blank. |
| Telegram: 48-hour delete window | Delete only within 48 h and if the bot is a channel admin. |
| Bulk delete: Facebook & YouTube only | A paid-plan feature; Facebook can also reach posts made outside the app. |
Product-wide limitations
- Engagement analytics: YouTube only. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Telegram show publishing telemetry, not likes/views (Lesson 16).
- No team seats. One account = one operator; no shared workspaces or member roles yet.
- No self-serve payment. Upgrades and top-ups are arranged over chat (Telegram/WhatsApp).
- No public API.
- Publishing to 5 platforms only. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Telegram. Others (X/Twitter, Pinterest, Douyin, Bilibili…) work only as import sources.
- English interface. The app UI and error messages are English; this guide is bilingual (EN/MY).
- No true light theme. The theme toggle switches between two dark styles (dark / midnight).
- Email can't be changed. Your sign-up email is permanent.
Timing behaviours to expect
- Bot scheduling is Thai time (UTC+7), while web scheduling uses your device's local time (Lessons 11 & 12).
- The scheduler checks about once a minute, so a scheduled post publishes within a minute of its time, not to the exact second.
- YouTube stats can lag up to 48 hours, and the YouTube upload quota is shared app-wide (resets midnight Pacific).
- For Shorts/Reels formatting, publishing now is most reliable — the duration-based auto-format is applied most predictably on the Publish-now path (Lesson 8 & 11).
Expected result
You know the boundaries: keep your originals, expect platform-specific rules, and remember the app is a fast multi-platform publisher — not a media archive, analytics suite for every platform, or a team tool.
That's the end of the user guide.
